QuickScriber

QuickScriber takes audio or video — recorded in the app or uploaded — and returns a transcript. It does speaker detection, folder organisation, chat-with-transcript and team sharing. Recordings are unsearchable by default, so a call from six weeks ago may as well not exist.

QuickScriber is our own product, and it is in active use here on our own recordings: client calls, interviews, internal sessions we would never revisit. We are obviously the biased party here: this is the tool we built, used daily by the people who built it. We reach for chat-with-transcript most, because the useful question is what did they say about a specific thing, not replay the whole hour.

Otter is the reference point if you need live meeting notes with a bot in the call. Descript is better when the transcript is a means to editing the video or podcast , not the deliverable. Rev is where you go when accuracy must be human-verified — legal, medical, anything on the record. Sonix is strong on multi-language work and subtitles. Running Whisper yourself is a real option if you are technical and the volume is low. QuickScriber is the right call for fast, searchable transcripts of recordings you already have. If you need a notetaker that joins meetings for you, look at the meeting-focused tools instead.
