Frigade
Developer platform for building quality product onboarding experiences with code-based control and no-code management. Create product tours, registration flows, and checklists to guide users through your product and drive key actions.
About Frigade
Frigade is an onboarding platform aimed at developers. The components — product tours, registration flows, checklists — render from your own code, while the content, sequencing and targeting are managed outside it. That split is the whole point: engineering keeps control of how the UI looks and behaves, and whoever owns activation can change the flow without waiting for a deploy.
We track it as the developer-side answer in this category. It is on our list for the case where onboarding guidance has to match a design system closely enough that a generic overlay would look obviously bolted on.
Appcues, Chameleon and Userpilot are the no-code alternatives — pick one of those when nobody technical will maintain the flows and an overlay is acceptable. Pendo when the same team wants product analytics alongside the guidance. Intercom if you already run it and the tours are a secondary concern. And the option people skip too quickly: build it yourself. A checklist and a three-step tour are a couple of days of work, and they never depend on someone else's uptime. Frigade earns its keep when the flows are numerous enough to be a real maintenance burden but too design-sensitive for an overlay. Below that bar, it is a dependency you do not need.
