ChatPRD drafts and improves product requirement documents, and coaches product managers while it does it — an on-demand product management copilot for PMs and engineers, packaged as a custom GPT. The PRD is the artefact everyone agrees is necessary and nobody wants to write, so it either does not exist or exists in a form nobody reads.

We track it rather than use it. Our specs are written where the work happens. We list ChatPRD as the option for teams whose real bottleneck is the product document — where an engineer is blocked because nobody has written down what done means, and a coaching layer on top of the drafting is worth more than raw generation.

Notion AI is the obvious alternative if your documents already live in Notion and you want drafting in place. Linear is the better answer when the PRD is really a set of issues wearing a document costume. Productboard fits when the input is customer feedback that has to become a roadmap. Aha! is the heavier, more structured choice. A house template plus any capable general model gets you a long way. ChatPRD is the wrong call when the PRD is ceremony — a better document nobody reads does not help. Because it runs on a third-party assistant platform, check where your product context goes before pasting anything confidential.
